Gear Up Students

Gear Up

GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a federally funded program that helps students prepare for college and future careers.

Through a partnership between San Jacinto College and Galena Park ISD, students gain the knowledge, skills, and support they need to graduate from high school and succeed in college.

How GEAR UP Supports Student Success

GEAR UP helps students prepare for college and beyond by focusing on three key areas.
San Jac Student

San Jac Male and Female Student

Graduation & College Enrollment

San Jac Female Students

College and Career Planning

Thank you to our Community Partners

Our community partnerships expand educational opportunities and help students prepare for college, careers, and life after high school. Together, we provide academic support, college and career exploration, family engagement, and mentoring.

By working together, we help students gain the knowledge, confidence, and resources they need to continue their education and achieve their goals. We also strengthen partnerships among schools, families, and the community to support every student's success.
