Holiday Card Contest

Eligibility

• The contest is open to all currently enrolled San Jacinto College students.
• Entries must be your original work.

Theme

Designs should reflect a winter holiday or seasonal theme appropriate for a college community.

Artwork Guidelines

• Designs must be student-created (no tracing, copying, AI-generated art, or copyrighted images).
• Artwork may be hand-drawn or digitally created.
• Do not include student, staff, or faculty names, faces, or personal information in the design.
• Content must be school-appropriate (no violence, offensive language, or inappropriate imagery).
• All artwork must be respectful and align with the San Jacinto College mission, vision, and values.

Size and Format

• Artwork must fit within the designated 5”x7” card size.
• Designs should be submitted in color.

Submission

• You may submit one entry.
• Entries must be turned in by Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, to foundation@sjcd.edu.
• Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Submissions must include the following identifying information.  Entries received without this info will be disqualified.
  • Your full name
  • Major or program of study
  • San Jac Foundation scholarships you have received (if any)
  • Title of your artwork
  • Email address
  • Phone number

Judging Criteria

Entries will be judged based on:

• Creativity and originality
• Artistic effort and neatness
• Relevance to the theme
• Overall visual appeal

Prizes and Recognitions

• Winning artwork may be featured as the official 2026 holiday card for San Jacinto College Foundation.
• Winners will be announced on the San Jacinto College Foundation social media pages.

Usage Rights

By submitting artwork, you grant the college permission to reproduce and display the design for college-related purposes (print, digital, or promotional).

Final Decisions

All judging decisions are final.
